Caregiver burnout is a “state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion that may be accompanied by a change in attitude — from positive and caring to negative and unconcerned. With 2 out of every 3 caregivers a female, the role of caring for elder parents is more often filled by women than men, whether it be a daughter, daughter-in-law, or spouse.
